When you perform a test connection or a backup operation, a connection timeout error might occur when the access node can only access the internet through a proxy server.

Symptoms

The test connection or the backup operation fails.

Resolution

Configure the access node to access internet resources through the proxy server so that the Salesforce connection works. For instructions, see Configuring an HTTP Proxy Server for the CommServe Computer.
