You receive a bad request error while performing a record-level restore for Salesforce.

Symptoms

Data is not restored to a file system or to a Salesforce instance.

Causes

The PostgreSQL database used as the sync database is not configured to accept a connection request from the Web Server.

Resolution

Update the PostgreSQL pg_hba.conf file so that a connection request from the Web Server is allowed. For more information, go to The pg_hba.conf File on the PostgreSQL documentation website.
