CANNOT_UPDATE_CONVERTED_LEAD

Performing a Salesforce restore operation on data with a converted Lead produces an error.

Symptoms

A restore operation does not run and the following error appears: CANNOT_UPDATE_CONVERTED_LEAD:cannot reference converted lead

Causes

A restore operation produces an error because a converted Lead cannot be updated. A converted Lead cannot be updated if an operation attempts to modify certain fields, or if the proper Salesforce permissions are not enabled.

The following converted Lead fields cannot be modified:

• ConvertedDate
• ConvertedAccountId
• ConvertedContactId
• ConvertedOpportunityId

Resolution

From Salesforce setup, enable the View and Edit Converted Leads permission. For more information, see Let Users View and Edit Converted Leads.
