A Salesforce backup operation failed with a metadata retrieval error.
A Salesforce backup job failed with the following error message:
Metadata retrieve status is failed for Package\#x \[RequestId: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\]\. StatusCode: UNKNOWN\_EXCEPTION; Message: UNKNOWN\_EXCEPTION: An unexpected error occurred.
Salesforce failed to retrieve the metadata for the backup job.
Contact Salesforce Support and provide the full error message, along with any other additional metadata details.
Package.xml files are available in the download cache path once the backup job is set to pending. To access the download cache path from the Command Center, you must log on to the access node and copy the path from the download cache path. To access the download cache path from Metallic, you must contact Metallic Support.
You can then access and troubleshoot metadata by uploading package.xml files to Workbench. For example, you can upload /SFDebugData/package*.xml to Workbench and retrieve the relevant metadata errors to provide to Salesforce Support.
