Content Indexing Jobs in Waiting State with Error Code 62:2397: "Search Engine resources are not available..."

Article ID: CI0013 Content indexing jobs are in a waiting state with the following error description: Search Engine resources are not available because either the amount of available disk space is low, the maximum number of content indexed documents has been reached, or the Search Engine is configured in Search Only mode. Please add a new node or use other Search Engine to content index data.

Symptom

Content indexing jobs are in a waiting state and display the following error:

Error Code: [62:2397] Description: Search Engine resources are not available because either the amount of available disk space is low, the maximum number of content indexed documents has been reached, or the Search Engine is configured in Search Only mode. Please add a new node or use other Search Engine to content index data.

Cause

The possible causes of this error are as follows:

  • The search engine node does not contain enough disk space to perform additional content indexing operations.
  • The search engine node has reached the maximum number of objects that can be content indexed on the node.
  • The search engine node is configured in search-only mode, and cannot perform content indexing operations.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, verify the following:

  • The search engine node contains enough disk space. If the amount of disk space is low, then consider the following options:
    • Add more disk space to the search engine node.
    • Install an additional search engine node to the search engine cloud.
    • Move the content index data to a search-only search engine that runs on a virtual machine.
  • If the search engine has reached the maximum number of content indexed objects, then consider the following options:
    • Install an additional search engine node to the search engine cloud.
    • Move the content index data to a search-only search engine that runs on a virtual machine.
  • If the search engine is configured in search-only mode, then it will not content index additional data. If the search engine node has enough disk space and has not reached the maximum number of content indexed objects, then consider re-enabling content indexing operations on the search engine. If the search engine cannot content index additional data because of low disk space or the number of content indexed objects, consider the following options:
    • Install an additional search engine node to the search engine cloud.
    • Move the content index data to a search-only search engine that runs on a virtual machine.
