Reference

Following accounts are used by Commvault software to access the CommServe SQL databases.

  • sqlexec_cv
  • sqladmin_cv
  • CVManagedLoggerLogin
  • CVDM2XMLMsgLogin
  • CVDM2DBCLRLogin
  • CVDBCLRLogin

Only the sqlexec_cv account has a password. You can use the ..\Base\DBMaintenance.exe utility to change the sqlexec_cv password.

DBMaintenance.exe -cslogin sqlexec_cv -cspwd  -CreateSQLLogin -SetRegistry

For all of the other listed accounts there is no password. These accounts are used only for calling CLR code and uses a asymmetric key from the corresponding CLR binary.
