Symptoms

Backup jobs for the File System Agents, Distributed Apps, and Network Share clients fail after the scan phase with the following error message:

Causes

When you upgrade your CommServe computer to Service Pack 14, the data access nodes are not upgraded to Service Pack 14 for new subclients.

Resolution

Use one of the following resolutions, and then resume the backup job.

• Upgrade the data access nodes to Service Pack 14
• Configure the number of data readers for the subclient. For instructions, see Configuring Multiple Data Streams for the Windows File System Agent
