Error while processing offset file

The DDB move job fails with offset file error

Symptoms

The DDB move job fails with the following error message:

Error while processing offset file, this could be due to some other process accessing the file or some one manually removed the file.
Client [client01] Application [LibraryOperation] Message Id [1040189807] RCID [0] ReservationId [0]. Level [0] flags [0] id [0] overwrite [0] append [0] CustId[0]

Causes

This error message appears when the DDB has not been created on the disk. This might happen if backup jobs have not been run to the DDB and you are performing a DDB move operation.

Resolution

To resolve the job failure:

1. Suspend the job.
2. Perform DDB move job with Config DB Only option. See steps 1-7 in Recovering Permanently Offline Deduplication Database Partitions.
3. Resume the job.
