An event message is displayed when deduplication databases for storage policy copies have not been backed up in the previous 24 hours.

Symptoms

A deduplication database has not been backed up in the last 24 hours and the following message is displayed in the Event Viewer window.

Deduplication Databases for these Storage Policies/Copies [ ] are not backed up in the last [24] hours on this MediaAgent: [ ].

Causes

Your DDB may not get backed up in the following scenarios:

If no storage policy is assigned to DDBBackup subclient.

Resolution

If DDBBackup subclient was deleted, configure DDB subclient and assign Storage Policy to the subclient so that the DDB backups will run successfully. See Creating a DDB Subclient to Replace Deleted DDB Subclient for instructions.
