Error Code: [13:1441] Description: Unable to validate SafeNet key for Storage Policy / copy [ ].

Backup or auxiliary copy jobs that are associated with a storage policy with SafeNet data encryption are failing.

Symptoms

If a backup or auxiliary copy job that is associated with a storage policy that has SafeNet data encryption fails, the following error message is displayed:

Error Code: [13:1441]

Description: Unable to validate SafeNet key for Storage Policy / copy [ ].
Please check following: 1. Check connectivity to SafeNet server. 2. Key is deleted or rolled over.

Causes

The error message is displayed if one of the following conditions has occured:

• The encryption key on the SafeNet server was deleted.
• A connectivity issue exists between the CommServe and the SafeNet server.

Resolution

Deleted Encryption Key:

If the encryption key was deleted, the data associated with the storage policy or copy will not be recoverable.
