Backup or auxiliary copy jobs that are associated with a storage policy with SafeNet data encryption are failing.
If a backup or auxiliary copy job that is associated with a storage policy that has SafeNet data encryption fails, the following error message is displayed:
Error Code: [13:1441]
Description: Unable to validate SafeNet key for Storage Policy / copy [ ].
Please check following: 1. Check connectivity to SafeNet server. 2. Key is deleted or rolled over.
The error message is displayed if one of the following conditions has occured:
Deleted Encryption Key:
If the encryption key was deleted, the data associated with the storage policy or copy will not be recoverable.
For a backup job, create a new storage policy and re-associate all subclients with the new storage policy. For instructions on storage policy creation and re-association, see Storage Policy - Getting Started and Associating Subclients to a Different Storage Policy.
For an auxiliary copy job, create a new storage policy copy, delete the old copy, and rerun the auxiliary copy job. For instructions, see Secondary Copy and Auxiliary Copy.
Connectivity Issues:
Check the connectivity with the SafeNet server.
