New user mailboxes in Active Directory groups do not appear on the Mailboxes list after an autodiscovery operation runs.
New user mailboxes in Active Directory (AD) groups that are marked for autodiscovery do not appear on the Mailboxes list after the user mailboxes have been added to the AD group.
The following error message appears in the CVMailDiscover.log file:
AD Group depth limit 100 reached. Not processing group group_name further
Where group_name is the name of the AD group.
This log file is located in software_installation_path\Log Files on the access node.
When AD groups are nested within other AD groups, member mailboxes of child AD groups up to a maximum of 100 AD groups deep are discovered if the parent AD group has autodiscovery enabled. However, any member mailboxes in AD groups that are deeper than 100 AD groups are not detected by the autodiscovery operation.
Any AD groups that are deeper than 100 AD groups must be discovered manually.
We recommend that you use AD groups that do not have child AD groups, or that have only a few child AD groups.
