Exchange Mailbox Backup Quota does not send quota notifications
Article ID: EXOP0004 Even though mailboxes are close to or exceed their backup quotas, warnings and alerts are not sent to administrators and end users.
When notifications are configured for Exchange Mailbox Backup Quota, by default, warnings are sent to administrators and end users when mailboxes reach 90% of their established quota. Alerts are sent when mailboxes exceed their established quota.
In certain circumstances, warnings and alerts are not sent even though the mailboxes are close to or exceed their backup quotas.
The EnableQuotaManagement additional setting has not been set correctly.
The service account mailbox is full.
The service account on the Exchange server is not configured correctly.
- Make sure that the EnableQuotaManagement additional setting has been set correctly. For more information, see Enabling Exchange Mailbox Backup Quota.
- Delete messages from the service account mailbox.
- Make sure that the service account permissions on the Exchange server are set correctly.
- To confirm that the permissions are set correctly, send messages to recipients manually.
