Restoring all files and folders from a virtual machine fails with an error message.

While restoring files and folders from a virtual machine, you may notice the following error:

Volume name not found in the restore source path, this is a volume restore

You have selected to restore all files and folders on a virtual machine.

A file-level restore of the entire contents of the VM is not supported.

If you want to restore a full VM backup, you must perform a full VM restore.
