Hyper-V discovery, backup, or restore fails with error "The IntcDrv service failed to start"

A discovery operation, a backup operation, or a restore operation fails when LANDesk software is installed. In Windows System Event Logs, the following error is included for the Service Control Manager:
The IntcDrv service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
This issue occurs when LANDesk software interferes with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) calls that are used for a discovery operation, a backup operation, or a restore operation.
To resolve this issue, uninstall the LANDesk software on all Hyper-V nodes.
