A MySQL block-level restore operation fails

Symptoms

A MySQL restore operation fails with the following error in the MYSQLBLOCKRESTORE.log file:

Causes

During the block-level restore operation, the auxiliary server fails to start.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, complete the following steps:

  1. Disable SELINUX on the client machine.
  2. Run the restore operation again.
