Symptom

A MySQL restore operation on the Linux operating system, with the Do Not Recover option selected, fails with the following error in the MySqlStartRestore.log file on the CommServe server:

8844 a604 09/01 12:44:50 46877 [::main]: Notifying Job Manager of restore phase success.
8844 a604 09/01 12:44:50 46877 ::main() - No files got restored. clRestore did not restore any archive files, Failing the job
8844 a604 09/01 12:44:50 46877 Sending FAILED complete message to JM, 46877

Cause

If a non-root user performed a restore operation to the same staging location more than one time, then the MySQL restore operation on the Linux operating system, with the Do Not Recover option selected, fails.

Resolution

Either perform the MySQL restore operation to a new staging location, or clear the existing staging location.
