"Exception of Type Cobalt.ErrorException": A SharePoint 2013 Document Backup Operation Fails

A SharePoint 2013 document backup operation fails.

Symptoms

The first SharePoint 2013 document backup operation that you perform fails with the following error message:

"Exception of type Cobalt.ErrorException"

Causes

Th operation fails because, by default, the first SharePoint 2013 document backup operation that you perform attempts to create a SQL database snapshot, but the backup operation is unable to complete the snapshot operation.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, complete the following steps. For information about how to modify an additional setting from the CommCell Console, see Adding or Modifying Additional Settings from the CommCell Console.

1. Disable the bUseSQLSnapshot additional setting by changing its value to 0 (zero).
2. Run the SharePoint 2013 document backup operation again.
