Error Code 32:392 Device is not ready

Snap job goes to pending state with Device is not ready error

Symptoms

Snap job goes to pending state with the following error:

Error Code: [32:392]
Description: Device is not ready: [Snap not present, possibly got deleted during reboot. Unpick snap and retry backup copy. Error {syscall stat for device name[/dev/cvbf/cvnv_5735402491249]failing with error code ENOENT (MM.60609)}]

Causes

Snapshot has become corrupt or is deleted after a snap job (possibly due to reboot).

Resolution

Stop the pending snap job, prevent the backup copy job from running, and then run a new snap job.

Follow these steps to prevent the backup copy job from running:

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies | Storage Policies| Storage_Policy.
2. Right-click Primary, point to View, and then click Jobs.
3. Right-click the snap job and click Prevent Copy.
