Article ID: UFS0015 Optimized scan job might fail with errors.

Symptom

When you enable optimized scan operations, the first time an optimized scan operation runs on a UNIX client computer that has Service Pack 8, the operation might fail, with the following errors in the AutoInstall.log file:

15341 4ff5 06/23 12:25:19 ### getSubclientContent() - Absolute path for [/opt/commvault/iDataAgent/jobResults/PseudoMount/] = [/opt/commvault/iDataAgent64/jobResults/PseudoMount]
15341 4ff5 06/23 12:25:19 ### getSubclientContent() - Error: failed to resolve to absolute path for=/opt/commvault/MediaAgent/SnapVolumeMounts/, error=No such file or directory

15341 4b60 06/23 12:24:26 ### FSSubclientConf::load(985) - --- 0:00.142427
15341 4b60 06/23 12:24:26 ### getSubclientContent() - Error: failed to resolve to absolute path for=/opt/commvault/iDataAgent/jobResults/PseudoMount/, error=No such file or directory

Cause

The following directories might not exist on the UNIX client computer:

  • software_installation_directory/MediaAgent/SnapVolumeMounts/
  • software_installation_directory/iDataAgent/jobResults/PseudoMount/

Resolution

Use the following commands to manually create the directories on the UNIX client computer:

  • mkdir -p software_installation_directory/MediaAgent/SnapVolumeMounts/
  • mkdir -p software_installation_directory/iDataAgent/jobResults/PseudoMount/
