Apache Tomcat Is Consuming Too Much Memory
Article ID: WEB0008 Apache Tomcat is consuming too much memory and is affecting the performance of other Commvault operations.
The Web Console computer is unresponsive.
- On the Web Console computer, go to software_installation_path/Apache/bin and run the following command:
start tomcat6w //ES//GXTomcatInstance001
The Commvault Tomcat Service Properties dialog box appears.
- On the Java tab, in the Maximum memory pool box, set the memory to no more than one-eighth (12.5 percent) of the total memory on the computer.
- Click OK.
- Restart the Tomcat services on the Web Console computer.
