Error Code: [32:406] User specified a data path which is not part of the data paths in the storage policy copy.

The backup jobs goes into a waiting state as there is a mismatch in the specified data path.

Symptoms

The backup job does not complete and goes into a waiting state with the following error message:

Error Code: [32:406] Library [], MediaAgent [], Drive Pool [], Media[]: User specified a data path which is not part of the data paths in the storage policy copy. Advice: Please specify a job data path which is part of the Storage Policy copy. Source: commserve, Process: JobManager

Causes

The error message appears if there is a mismatch between the data path specified in the Data Path tab of the Advanced Backup Options dialog box and the data path specified in the Data Path tab of the storage policy Copy Properties dialog box.

Resolution

Edit the data path specified in the Data Path tab of the Advanced Backup Optionsdialog box as follows and then run the backup:

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers > Client > Agent.
2. Right-click the and clickBackup.
3. Click Advanced, and then click theData Pathtab.
4. From the Use MediaAgentlist, select ANY MEDIAAGENT.
5. From the Use Librarylist, select ANY LIBRARY.
6. Click OK.
