When you install updates on the Macintosh computer from a remote terminal session, installation errors related to the BackupUninstall.app occur.
After you install the laptop package on a Macintosh computer, if you decide to install updates by using the terminal session from a different computer, you might see the following error message:
Starting BackupUninstall.app ...LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file /opt/simpana/Base/Process Manager.app/Contents/Resources/BackupUninstall.app.
FAILED.
The installation program tries to launch the BackupUninstall.app by using the open command, but it fails because the application might be unavailable on remote terminal sessions. Remember that Macintosh applications need a dock and a user interface specific to each user.
The application will be launched automatically when the user logs on to the Macintosh computer where the laptop package was installed.
The error can be ignored. No action is required.
