Lotus Notes database backup completes with errors.

Symptoms

Log entries similar to:

NSFBackupGetChangeInfoSize \mail\etaylor.nsf:Backup terminated due to timeout

NSFBackupEnd \mail\etaylor.nsf:Backup terminated due to timeout

CBackupBase::DoBackup(3051) - ReadAndSendFileData indicates FAIL_BACKUP

Causes

Various.  Most common cause is timout due to large notes database.

Resolution

Set DAOS registry keys:

Location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CommVault Systems. . . . \ . . . . \LotusNotesDBAgent

Values:

[dwNLOBatchSize] - for DAOS with a DWORD (Integer) value = 100000 under the [LotusNotesDBAgent] level.

[dwEnumerateNloFiles] - to enable File scan with a DWORD (Integer) value = 1 under the [LotusNotesDBAgent] level.

Optional:

Add a 1-way FW Tunnel between the MA [RESTRICTED] and Notes client [BLOCKED].  See documentation.

Run the following commands:
