Windows Network Share Backups May Fail with Access Denied Error

Symptoms

Windows network share backups may fail during the scan phase with an "Access Denied" error.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, download and install Commvault hotfix 2417 on all access nodes used for Windows network share clients in the CommCell environment. For more information on installing hotfixes, see Installing Maintenance Releases.
