Causes include: A crashed process A locked process (due to another application such as an Anti Virus) Intermittent Network connectivity issues Blocked Ports

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

• Ensure the Commvault Services are running on the client and restart as needed
• Check for a hosts file on the client, Commserve, or Media Agent and correct any mistakes
• Disable Antivirus or exclude CV files and folders
• Utilize the CV Network Route tools
