Symptoms

This error will show up with all of the jobs in the Controller showing this code, usually only temporarily.

Causes

As the text string indicates, Job Manager was restarted by a person or process.  As a result, all job updates in the Job Controller were unable to continue until Job Manager was back to a running state.

A common cause is running updates against the Commserve while jobs are running.

Resolution

Check the schedule for any Software Updates that include the Commserve (especially the system created schedules.  Either edit the schedule to run when no jobs should be running, or remove the Commserve from the schedule.

Updates to the Commserve are generally planned events and should be run manually.
