Vulnerabilities in .NET Core versions older than 2.1.25.41022

Installing a File System Agent and the Web Server on a computer that has the .NET Core version older than the recommended version in this security bulletin introduces vulnerabilities.

Symptoms

Using an older version of .NET Core might introduce security vulnerabilities.

Causes

The computer, the File System Agent, and the Web Server are vulnerable to security issues because the File System Agent and the Web Server are installed on a computer that runs the . NET Core with a version that is older than the version that the Commvault software supports.

Resolution

The following table lists the .NET Core versions that are automatically installed with the Commvault software. To defend against vulnerabilities, you must upgrade the .NET Core to 2.1.25.41022, regardless of the .NET core version that is installed by default.
