This article describes the resolution for the error message "Mount path is offline or Mount Path is inaccessible".
Symptoms
Job operations encounter an error message "Mount path is offline or Mount Path is inaccessible".
Causes
This error indicates that the mount path is not available for job operations to run.
Resolution
Identify Why the Mount Path Is Offline
Go to Storage Resources > Libraries > library.
Right click the offline mount path, and then select Properties.
Go to the General tab.
Mount Path / Device Is Disabled
Verify that both Enable Mount Path and Device Enabled are selected on the Mount Path > Properties > General tab and the Sharing tab.
Mount Path Volume Is Dirty
Run chkdsk on the affected path and allow the process to complete.
Mount Path Is Inaccessible
Confirm that the mount path is visible and accessible to the operating system on the MediaAgent.
If the mount path is a mount point, confirm that the mount point is intact on the operating system for the MediaAgent.
If the mount path is presented via UNC, confirm that the path can be accessed using the credentials provided in Commvault from the MediaAgent.
a. If the credentials were recently changed, update the credentials in Commvault. To change the credentials, in the CommCell ribbon > Home > Control Panel > Credentials Manger.
b. Select the credential that is being used, select Edit, and update the credentials.

Confirm that the credentials used by Commvault to access the path have Full Control.
If the mount path is presented via UNC and the credentials are correct, check the MediaAgent's SMBClient logs for any connectivity issues to the Storage
Cloud Mount Path Is Offline or Inaccessible
Confirm that the credentials used to access the cloud path are correct.
