If you are using Download Manager to download Commvault media with MS SQL Server 2016 onto a computer with an internet connection, and that media needs to be installed on a CommServe computer running Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 computer, you must download Microsoft SQL Server 2016, which is compatible with those operating systems (MS SQL Server 2019 is not compatible with Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2).

You can use the bDownloadSQL2016 registry key on the downloading computer to download Commvault media with MS SQL Server 2016, instead of Commvault media with MS SQL Server 2019.

You need to download Commvault media with SQL Server 2016, instead of Commvault media with MS SQL Server 2019, using the Download Manager,

Resolution

On the computer with the internet connection, on which Download Manager will be used to download Commvault Media with MS SQL Server 2016, perform the following steps:

1. From the Windows Registry Editor, create a new registry key with the following details:

Registry Key Name: bDownloadSQL2016 Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GalaxyInstallerFlags Type: DWORD Value: 1

2. Using Download Manager, download the Commvault media with SQL Server 2016 onto the computer with the internet connection.

3. Move this Commvault media to the CommServe computer that is running Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2.
