After installing or upgrading to 11.28, you may receive an erroneous alert stating "The system detected an unusual drop in the pruning performance for the following databases in commcell".

Symptoms

This alert is designed to detect a possible impact on data aging performance, which could result in the deletion of data falling behind and an out-of-space condition occurring. However, an issue was introduced in version 11.28 which causes this error to be reported erroneously when no such condition exists.

Resolution

An update exists to resolve this issue. At the time of writing, you must install Maintenance release 11.28.10 plus an additional separate update to resolve this condition. Any maintenance release after 11.28.10 will contain the additional update, and a separate install of the individual update will not be required.

  1. Install 11.28.10 (download here) - note: Maintenance releases newer than 11.28.10 will include the additional below update automatically.
  2. Install the individual update on the CommServe (download here)
    1. Launch the executable to extract the update
    2. from the extracted v11SP28_Available_HotFix2107_2108_WinX64\Windowsx64 folder, run InstallUpdates.exe
