Causes

Data could not be written to the destination media. Possible causes include:

• Communication failure with the CommServe processes including the JobManager or MediaManager.
• Communication failure with other nodes in a HyperScale cluster.

A communication failure is usually handled internally without causing a job to go to a pending state, but if the communication error continues after retries, it can cause a job to go to a pending state.

Resolution

• Retry the job. This error is typically not persistent.
• Verify that the CommServe services are running.
• Verify that the MediaAgent services are running on all nodes in a Hyperscale cluster.
