A snapshot replication operation to NetApp secondary storage fails if the target SVM is not reachable.

Symptoms

A snapshot replication operation to NetApp secondary storage fails with the following job pending reason: Error Code: [32:392] Failed to prepare snapshot. : [Target SVM:[<SVM name>] is not reachable. Please make sure the target SVM is configured in array management and is reachable.] Source: <MediaAgent>, Process: CVJobReplicatorODS

Causes

The software was unable to move a NetApp snapshot from the source storage virtual machine (SVM) to the target SVM because communication with the target SVM failed. The relationship between the source SVM and the target SVM does exist on the file server.

Resolution

Verify the access node list in the array management for the target SVM shown in the job pending reason. Ensure that one or more access nodes are configured on the target SVM array to communicate with the SVM.
