If you use the same volume for SQL database files, the Commvault installation or the OS installation, the SQL IntelliSnap backup jobs fail.
The snapshots are not created in the EC2 instance, and the following error appears:

The IntelliSnap jobs fail because writers (including Commvault VSS provider logging) are in the suspended state for creating the app-consistent snapshot. As the writers are blocked, Commvault logging is stalled and does not proceed until VSS timeout. After the writers are released, the logging proceeds and allows the snap creation to continue; however, the snaps are created outside the app-consistency window and the snap jobs fail.
Verify that the mdf and ldf files of the SQL database are hosted on a EBS volume that is different from an OS volume.
