Starting with platform release 2024 (11.34), new deployments using this version will no longer have access to the CommCell console. For more information on this change, see this article: https://kb.commvault.com/article/82051
When attempting to launch the console, you may receive a message stating "Use of CommCell Console required authorization for new deployments starting with Platform release 2024.". With new CommCell Deployments starting platform release 2024 (11.34), the CommCell Console has been deprecated in favor of using Command Center. If functionality from CommCell Console is required, a request can be made to obtain temporary access. This article explains the process to obtain and apply the authorization code necessary to launch the CommCell Console.
Authorization codes can be obtained by contacting Customer Support. To streamline the request, please have the following information ready:
With this information support will either provide a way to accomplish the task via Command Center or provide temporary access to Commcell Console by use of an authorization code. By default, access expires after 24 hours.
Once the authorization code has been generated, you will need to apply it through an additional setting configured via Command Center.
Once done, you can now login with the CommCell Console.
